Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRED SCOTT PARKER On Tuesday, July 13, 2005 in Winnipeg, Fred Parker was called home to be with His Lord. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Gladys and their children, Denise McIntosh (Dewar), Glenn, Myrna (daughter-in-law), Gary (Debbie), Bruce, Brian (Joan), Gord, and Gregg (Pamela). Fred is also survived by his sisters, Ethel and Isabel; 16 grandchildren, five great-granddaughters, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings and son, Doug. Fred was born at the family home in Woodlands on April 10, 1917 to Tom and Ruth Parker. Fred and twin sister, Isabel were the youngest in the family of 11 children. After leaving the farm, Fred moved to Winnipeg, where he met and married Gladys Tyler. Mom and Dad celebrated 60 years of marriage in 2004. Fred worked in the aviation industry, for Air Canada (TCA) for many years. After leaving Air Canada, he worked at Western Propeller until his retirement. Fred was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school and serving in many areas for years. Dad also loved woodworking and built lots of furniture (cabinets, beds, bookcases, rocking chairs) for the family. He was often found in the basement, fixing up something or other.??? Dad will be missed by family and friends, who knew him as someone always ready to help out. He has passed on his deep faith in Jesus Christ to his family. Funeral service will be held on Monday July 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 205 Roseberry St. With interment to follow.
